King Charles

I do solemnly swear upon my honour and my life to be faithful and bear allegiance to the sovereign, the King. I will serve him loyally with my body and my sword, defend his person and his realm against enemies, and uphold the laws and justice. I will keep his counsel and his secrets, obey his commands, and never take arms against him nor suffer others to do so in my presence. This oath I make freely, without reservation or deceit.
